Every one of us faces the darkness in
our lives from time to time. I personally define dark moments as those times in
our lives that bring despair, discouragement, depression, and destruction. The
four D’s if you will.
We have all faced them at one time or
another and we will continue to, because life is full of these moments. Is that
to suggest that GOD sends us these moments, no; the vast majority of these
moments are just the cycle of this world. And from time to time it just seems
to be our turn on the wheel. But just like any turn at the amusement park that
turn comes to an end.
That is little comfort when it is your
turn on the wheel, so here is our comfort. The times we face those dark
moments, those which seem way too large for our understanding or even our
repair.
Look to the Horizon, for it is on the
horizon that Light dawns, it is the first place Light breaks thru the darkness
for a new day in our lives, a day filled and powered by Light.
We as Christians must have expectations
of the Light, we must know that Light is coming into our situations, for to
think otherwise will doom us to walk aimlessly in the darkness.
“Yea though I walk through the valley
of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for Thou art with me”.
You see regardless your situation
this day, if you know Jesus as your personal savior, you are not alone. And not
only are you not alone but your answer is right there with you. He is our
answer, He is our Light, He overcomes darkness by just being present.
The aim of the enemy is to convince
you that your darkness is not lifting, that whatever reason everything bad
happens to you and only you. He wants you to assume a victim mentality, because
if you will, you will be his victim for a long time to come. You will trap
yourself into believing that no light is coming over the Horizon, and that you
are on your own.
That my brothers and sisters is a lie
of the devil, and all of us who face the four D’s are told that same thing. You
are not alone and neither are you cursed!
Today is a new day, the Son came up
this morning, and in the morning... He will again. Are we looking to the
horizon for our answers?
Don’t let the enemy convince a Child
of GOD that The Son is not coming up in our lives, Look to the Horizon, for the Son
is coming, and Light is coming to your situation, just be expecting it, for you
are not alone....now act like it.
