If I am a good person why do I need to choose JESUS Christ to be my savior?
A very legitimate question.
All of us are born into a world that has been tainted by sin, it was not our doing, you and I had no control of it, it happened when Adam disobeyed GOD in the Garden of Eden. Up until then man was sinless.
But by man disobeying GOD, man sinned, to be precise a perfect man sinned, you see Adam was perfect up until that time. Thus all of his offspring was now tainted with sin, and that offspring includes us.
Thus GOD The Father, had to send His Son JESUS, for a sacrifice on mans behalf, including ours.
JESUS came to earth by the way of Virgin Birth, GOD doesn't do anything the normal way, He's GOD He doesn't have to.
GOD's Son JESUS, came to take our place for judgement, we were all doomed to hell without Him, man could never do anything to make up for being born into sin, JESUS intervened on our behalf so we would we have a choice, the choice to choose to serve GOD or not.
For without that opportunity of choice we would all live, then die, then go to hell to pay for our own sins.
But thanks to JESUS, we don't have to choose that, we can choose Him, and receive Him as our Savior.
JESUS came to the earth for you and me, sinners, we didn't ask to be sinners, we were born into it. The Bibles says in Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of GOD."
WE ARE ALL BORN SINNERS, THUS WE ALL NEED A SAVIOR.
JESUS is that Savior,
JESUS is the only way to GOD, there are no other advocates, the Bible is plain about this, in John 14:6 6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
JESUS paid our penalty, we don't have to serve our sentence in hell, if we choose Him.

Father GOD, I believe you sent Jesus to be my sacrifice, I believe he died for me also, and rose again on the third day. According to the scriptures.
Lord Jesus I invite you into my life, to lead me and guide me and make me your disciple.
